The highlights from the weekend’s auction results were:
- The national auction clearance rate was 81.9%, slightly dipping from last week’s 84.45%, but still a stellar result. This time last year was 73.9%.
- Auction activity continues to increase, with 2,451 homes taken to auction, an increase from last week’s 2,094.This, however, is lower than the 3,026 this time last year.
- For the fifth week in a row, Canberra, Adelaide and Sydney return clearances above 80% with Sydney leading the way at 88.9%.
- All capital city clearance rates are higher than this time last year.
